Installation Techniques

Mechanically Attached
Most Flex systems can be mechanically attached, where special fasteners connect the membrane to the insulation and roof deck. For Flex Elvaloy PVC and Flex TPO, seams are welded with hot air.

Fully Adhered
Both Flex Elvaloy PVC and Flex TPO can also be adhered directly to the insulation board with Flex Cold Adhesive, which eliminates the need for hot asphalt. The membrane seams are welded with hot air in these systems.

Self Adhesive
Flex CTR (Coal Tar Elastomer) is self adhering.

Tradition Hot Asphalt
When preferred, Flex products can also be applied with traditional hot asphalt adhesives.

Roof Penetrations and Flashing
Flex provides complete systems for all product lines. For Elvaloy®-modified PVC and TPO products this includes pre-molded pipe flashings, pre-molded inner and outer corners, as well as architectural metals, drains and all other necessary fittings.
